Writing a book: amazing! Until you actually start… We thought it was a fantastic idea — we’re going to write a book on a topic no one has tackled before! Excited, we began brainstorming. Post-its on the wall, markers at the ready, glass of wine in hand. “Yes, this is going to be brilliant!” we told each other as we jotted down various ideas. We sparked each other’s creativity, complemented one another perfectly, and thought: We’re a dream team! Until it came time to actually write. Oof — that turned out to be harder than we thought. Making choices about what to include (and what not), figuring out the structure, deciding on the tone — and then there’s the design. Still, we steadily started writing the content. Meanwhile, a designer came up with a fun theme and began shaping the visuals. Slowly but surely, the lay-out, colors, and structure began to come alive. And then, out of the blue, the designer told us: “I’ve accepted a new job!”
Of course, we were happy for her — but it also meant a new challenge for us and a delay in our process. The deadline had to be moved, and we picked up the thread again. Thankfully, we’ve received amazing responses from people around us:
“What a cool idea!” “This is exactly what I need!”

That gave us the energy to keep going. Because sure, it’s a bit of a madhouse — but it’s our madhouse. And the book? It’s happening. With design. And a foreword. And a glass of wine — see you soon!
