Online coaching has become indispensable. What started as a quick fix (“Should we meet via Zoom?” – “What’s Zoom?”) is now a full-fledged alternative that proves to be surprisingly effective. One of the biggest advantages, for example, is flexibility, and distance is no longer an issue. No travel time, no traffic jams, no stress about being late. I received a request for a coaching program from someone living in Canada. We met online, and it clicked immediately. She was comfortably sitting at her kitchen table, yet we were fully connected. For her, the barrier was actually lower, and the accessibility higher; she found it much easier to talk about things and felt more comfortable doing so. And as a coach, I learned to listen, observe, feel, and perceive between the lines even better. You can still go deep, touch, mirror, and move—even online. Because in the end, it’s not about physical proximity, but attention. And that attention—truly listening, truly seeing—travels perfectly well through a fiber optic cable. Sometimes even better, because we are less distracted by the little things. So, you see, distance doesn’t have to mean separation. In fact, sometimes it brings you closer to yourself!
