It begins the moment you truly take responsibility \u2014 for yourself, for others, and for the bigger picture. True leadership comes from within and is rooted in your deeper values, the things that truly matter to you. Everyone has the ability to demonstrate leadership \u2014 whether you’re leading a team, supporting a colleague, or simply choosing to stay true to your values in challenging situations.<\/p>\n
Who are you, really? What do you stand for? What drives you? Leadership requires that you know yourself \u2014 including your beliefs, your pitfalls, and your strengths. Only when you understand yourself, you can make conscious choices. Only then you can lead from who you are, rather than who you think you should be. And that\u2019s where ownership begins. It means daring to say, \u201cI don\u2019t know (yet), but I take responsibility.\u201d It means acknowledging mistakes, learning from them, and moving forward. It means not waiting for permission, but taking action \u2014 with courage and vulnerability.<\/p>\n
Leadership also requires that you make brave choices; sometimes it means standing up, other times letting go. It\u2019s about not simply choosing the easiest path, but the right one \u2014 for yourself and for the greater whole.
